I was doing the Jura Crest Trail for my second time, which is a really great trail to do in the early season before the mountain passes have been cleared from the winter snow. I was just outside a place called Linn (Switzerland) and had broken camp just before the sunrise, which had let me vitness the golden forest a few minutes earlier. When I had gotten out of the forest and entered the surrounding fields, I saw this majestic old tree still covered in morning mist. It must have stood there for centuries, considering the imense size of its trunk, and thinking about all the things it has seen and experienced makes you see time with another perspective.
