During my three weeks of adventure in Cambodia, the best part was the four days that my friend and I spent on a bamboo raft, which we had built with our knives and some cord that we had brought with us. We had a small audience of curious locals, while we were building it and luckily they were nice enough to help us put it into the water because it had gotten pretty heavy. We had also made two paddles so that we would not be completely helpless out there on the river. Unfortunately we didn't manage to get a straight answer from the locals regarding if the river was housing any cocodiles or if there would be any waterfalls down the river, but decided to take the chance anyways. We started in a small town up in the north easten part of Cambodia, called Ta Veng, and drifted down the river for four days, only making stops for the nights. It was a great way to observe the landscape.
