On my first visit to Jordan, I visited the Wadi Mujib canyon. It was a bit touristy having an entrance fee and quite a few people, but it was a really cool hike nonetheless. The water reached your waist while you were walking up the river and you even had to climb a small waterfall to reach the end, which was a much larger waterfall. Here people who were doing more advanced canyoning were coming down with ropes, dressed in protective clothes and helmets.
